Palau Güell - Barcelona

The Palau Güell is a stunning residence, located at Nou de la Rambla 3 E - 08001, 

Barcelona and  was built between 1886 and 1890 to the big Güell family, is an example of 

Gaudí’s architectural style. The great innovation is in the  parabolic arches in the entrance, 

enhanced by typically extravagant Modernist grilles. Inside, the grand hall is without doubt 

the most remarkable room of the house, with its parabolic cupola pierced with small 

openings that allow light to filter through, giving the impression of the night sky!

Parc Güell is a Municipal garden complex situated in Gràcia district. The entrance is free of charge.

This magic place half-way between reality and fantasy, looks onto two quite unique mushroom-shaped buildings straight out of the fairy tale book. A stairway headed by a dragon made up of ingenious mosaics leads to the Hall of a hundred columns On top of the hall there is a circular square which offers an extraordinary view over the town, surrounded by the famous and never-ending undulating bank where Gaudí's fantasy for colour knows no bounds.

Aeroportos de Portugal, Espanha e França ficam fechados por causa do vulcão da Islândia

Centenas de voos transatlânticos para Portugal, Espanha e França foram suspensos, provocando um caos nos aeroportos de Porto, Barcelona e Marselha. Já os aeroportos de Madrid, Lisboa, Paris e Londres operam com restrições, dependendo da direção das cinzas do vulcão Eyjafjallajokull, que entrou em erupção no dia 14 de abril.

O aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro do Porto - norte de Portugal - e o do arquipélago atlântico dos Açores - a cerca de 1,5 mil quilômetros de Lisboa - permanecem fechados ao tráfego aéreo durante a manhã deste domingo pela nuvem de cinzas do vulcão islandês.

Segundo informou a imprensa oficial lusa, todos os voos com saída e chegada desses dois aeroportos estão cancelados e recomenda-se aos passageiros não irem até os terminais.

Porta-vozes dos Aeroportos de Portugal (ANA) informaram da suspensão de mais de 60 rotas no Sá Carneiro, o segundo maior aeroporto do país e que conta com grande afluência de espanhóis, sobretudo procedentes da comunidade autônoma da Galícia.

A Navegação Aérea de Portugal (NAV Portugal) detectou ontem a nuvem de cinzas vulcânicas no espaço aéreo luso e a sua densidade obrigou a imposição de uma "área de proibição de voo" - até 35 mil pés (cerca de 10 quilômetros) - que provocou a suspensão de mais de cem rotas.
