Next Destination: Barcelona - Catalonia - Spain

Today the viajantesmundo.blogspot.com will show through the next posts the main attractions of one of the most beautiful cities in the world: Barcelona!

Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, one important and very populous region of Spain. It is located on the Mediterranean coast and was founded by the romans. The official languages are Catalan and Spanish.

The Gothic Quarter (Barri Gòtic) is the centre of the old town. Many of the buildings date from medieval times, and some others since the Roman settlement of Barcelona.

For all over the city is possible to see architectural works of Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Domènech i Montaner.

The most remarkable work of Antoni Gaudí is the Sagrada Família church, which has been under construction since 1882.

Barcelona is the fourth most visited city in Europe after Paris, London, and Rome. You should visit!

Munich is waiting for you

Baroque and Italianate, Munich also boasts cutting-edge architecture: from Coop Himmelb(l)au to Herzog and De Meuron, the greatest names are represented here. Bavaria's capital is also the birthplace of today's most influential designer, Konstantin Grcic. From a restaurant (like Cafe Brenner) to a church (like Herz Jesu Kirche), from a contemporary art museum to a spa (like that at the Dorint Sofitel Bayerpost), from a head office (like BMW's) to a shopping arcade (like Fünf Höfe) without forgetting hotels (Kempinski), design and contemporary architecture can be seen in very different venues.
